Branding a Renewable Energy Company
Chesapeake Wind and Solar was one of the leading installers of solar systems in Maryland, but competition was growing rapidly, and partners understood the need to focus exclusively on solar but also the need for a major upgrade in brand identity and new marketing materials. We developed a marketing plan, a branding program, direct contact marketing, advertising for trade publications and local newspapers, a new website with complete content management system, and an SEO strategy for getting improved search engine rankings. We also help developed a solar evaluation form, linked to the client’s Gold Mine database, so requests could be more easily managed by the sales team.
The new branding campaign and marketing tactics paid off with solid growth in sales, and a clean, professional image that also captured the interest of a national solar company, groSolar. Chesapeake Solar has since merged with groSolar.
